So what is the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout?
The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the United States. Official speeds on the new Captain Ron's course have hit 208 mph in each of the last two years.
Last year's Top Gun winner "My Way" had to scratch this year's event due to an earlier accident. There is so much more to the Shootout besides racing such as: treasure hunt, golf tournament, concerts, street party, PWC dam run, mini shootout (a remote controled boat race) and more!!
It is exciting to see boats fly down the mile long course, but the most rewarding part is to see the checks going out to local fire departments and charities.
For more information go to: www.lakeoftheozarksshootout.org.
